FIELD: medicine, stomatology, radiology.
SUBSTANCE: method involves sampling of 45-55 mg of health enamel from one-fourth part of one or some molars and premolars in a patient in vivo followed by caring a tooth. Procedure is carried out at the drill rate in turbine stomatological device 300000 rev/min, not above. Enamel is purified from dentine at the drill rate 1500 rev/min, not above, and enamel sample is placed into ultrasonic bath with 20 M NaOH solution for 24 h. Then enamel sample is placed in distilled water for 1 h and then in hydrazine solution for 24 h. Then enamel sample is placed in distilled water for 1 h and dried in thermostat at temperature 60-65°C. Prepared enamel sample is ground to grains of size 0.5-1.5 mm and ground enamel is washed out successively in acetone, distilled water, ethyl alcohol and dried in desiccator for 24 h, not less. Analyzed enamel samples are placed in tubes and their EPR spectra are measured and value of enamel response function J0 is determined caused by preliminary irradiation dose by amplitude of radiation-induced signal or by its second integral. Then analyzed enamel samples are removed from tubes and irradiated additionally by the dose D about 200-800 mGr that is commensurable with the suggested radiation dose. Enamel response function after additional irradiation J (D) is determined and after series of additional irradiation an equation J(D) = J0 + kD is obtained wherein k means individual enamel sensitivity of a patient to be tested to radiation that is determined as dJ(D)/dD. Based on obtained dependence the desired dose is determined with admission that the dose value equal to zero corresponds to enamel samples response function not subjected for radiation. Invention is directed for enhancement of effectiveness of study of the radiation dose and decreasing traumatism of mouth cavity in a patient.
EFFECT: improved assay method.
