FIELD: measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to dosimetry. In the method for retrospective assessment of absorbed doses of gamma-radiation in emergency radiological situations, a sample with size of 5×5 mm of smartphone screen glass of the same model as that of a person exposed to uncontrolled radiation, is used as a dosimeter. In laboratory conditions, the sample is exposed to radiation and measurement of an electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) signal. Then a graph of the EPR signal versus the accumulated radiation dose is plotted. Further, a sample with size of 5×5 mm, is separated from the dosimeter, which was in the person exposed to uncontrolled radiation contamination which is removed from the radiation zone for 48 hours and for 120 hours from the moment of removal from the radiation zone, measurement (EPR) is performed. Radiation effect is determined from the measured signal and the plotted graph.
EFFECT: determination of radiation exposure on the body of a person in an emergency radiological situation, based on a sample of the glass of a smartphone in the possession of that person.
