FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves exposing greater and lesser fontanel regions to polarized light using Bioptron device with sequentially applied red, green, and blue color filters. Light treatment is carried out daily during 15 days at a therapeutic dose of 12 J/cm2 at a distance 2 cm far from scalp surface and with light spot diameter equal to 5 cm. The baby being younger than 6 months, the treatment is carried out 5 s long with each light color applied to the greater and lesser fontanel region with total duration of 30 s. The baby being elder than 6 months, the light treatment duration is increased every month by 3 s per each fontanel, reaching maximum equal to 1 min at the baby age of 11 months and elder. Light treatment is carried out as follows in low reactivity central nervous system cases. Color succession order is red, green, blue with uniform exposure. Central nervous system hyperreactivity being the case, the treatment starts with green light and then red and blue one follow. Normal central nervous system reactivity being the case, the treatment is carried out in any color sequence.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.
