FIELD: mechanical engineering; tower cranes.

SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, tower is installed in operating position and using mounting crane, upper part of crane is fitted on tower and crane boos are connected with upper part. Prior to lifting crane upper part, post, strut, brace members and members of spring stop of upper part of crane are hinge-connected directly on tower frame. For thus purpose frame is preliminarily fixed in horizontal position. Post is placed on frame in position tilted towards strut, and strut is placed with tilting from post, and spring stop is laid on frame in horizontal position and members of brace are placed between strut and post and are interconnected and connected with post and strut. Post is connected by tie-ropes with mounting crane and upper part of crane in inclined position relative to side of tower frame is lifted to tower level. Front side of tower frame is connected with tower, then upper part of crane is lowered and rear part of frame is connected with tower. Using mounting crane, post is turned into backward-tilted operating position until all members of crane upper part occupy their operating position. Post is fixed by post tie-rod in backward-tilted operating position, for this purpose tower frame is connected with post by post tie-rod. Then lower members of brace of tower are connected with strut and crane boom is subsequently connected with tower frame.

EFFECT: reduced labor input in mounting of crane, increased safety in mounting.
