METHOD FOR COMPRESSION WASHING OF LABORATORY SAMPLE WOOL Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC D01B3/00 D06B5/00 

FIELD: method for primary washing of laboratory wool, in particular, washing of laboratory sample wool on determining of wool yield.

SUBSTANCE: method involves placing wool in netted chamber positioned within washing bath; feeding washing solution into washing bath for processing washing of wool including steps of washing and rinsing, squeezing treated wool, discharging and draining used washing solution while leaving fiber. Washing and rinsing procedures are performed by multiple squeezing within chamber of wool mass to density of 200 kg/m³ with frequency at each cycle not in the excess of 0.5 Hz. After each compression stage, pressurized gas is fed under pressure of up to 50 kPa into wool mass for mellowing and emersion thereof. During washing procedure, wool is washed in two frequencies of use with following single rinsing at each treatment with washing solution during 2 min and at bath module not in the excess of 1:20.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in washing of wool sample without deteriorating its quality, reduced consumption of water, washing means, and decreased felting of wool after washing.
