FIELD: methods and devices for measuring zenith and azimuth angles of traces left from wood in parent material.
SUBSTANCE: angles are determined on basis of parameters of round spots, selected based on difference of soil colors on cleaned surface of level, formed by horizontal cross-sections of wood marks. For that purpose, determined firstly is spatial position of straight line, passing through centers of two spots. Positions of spot centers are determined as intersection of their symmetry axes. Zenith angle is determined on basis of elevation of level of upper spot center relatively to its projection on lower horizontal cutting plane and by projection onto this plane of a length connecting spot centers. Azimuth angle is determined on basis of position of projection of length, connecting spot centers, onto lower horizontal cutting plane relatively to a certain supporting direction. For realization of aforementioned method device is described, containing base and frame moveable relatively to base, with level, compass and unit for recording measurement results mounted on aforementioned frame.
EFFECT: lower laboriousness, increased precision of measurements.
