SUBSTANCE: invention involves using compounds in treatment and prophylaxis of pulmonary inflammatory diseases, namely asthma, pulmonary interstitial fibrosis, sarcoidosis, hypersensitive pneumonitis, chronic pneumonitis and obliterating bronchiolitis with organizing pneumonia. Method for treatment involves using agonists of nicotine receptors chosen from nicotine group, dimethylphenylpiperazinium, epibatidine, cytisine and their derivatives. Also, agonists of nicotine receptors are used as for carrying out both the monotherapy and in combination with other agents, for example, bronchodilating agents, corticosteroids, anti-leukotriens and immunosuppressing agents. Administration of nicotine receptor agonists is carried out by oral, parenteral, topical and inhalation routes. Also, the invention proposes using antagonists of nicotine receptors suggests manufacturing the corresponding medicinal agents. Using this group of inventions provides prophylaxis or stopping the development of fibrosis in respiratory ways and in lungs, and minimizing adverse effects typical for many groups of preparations used in this pathology.
