SPINAL DEVICE PREFERABLY FOR TIE PIECES Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61B17/70

Abstract RU 2301040 C2

FIELD: medicine; traumatic surgery; orthopedics.

SUBSTANCE: spinal device has nut, member screwed into bone, and clamp. Screwed-in member has part with external screw thread, which part is screwed into bone. Screwed-in part is separated from head, equipped with external thread, by polygonal protrusion; part of protrusion is made convex and it is turned to head for provision of function of bearing heel. Clamp has couple of branches to have through opening in any branch; branches are formed in opposition one to other and they are connected by section, which embraces tie piece in area of curve. Head, equipped with external thread, of screwed-in member passes along through openings till resting against branch of clamp by convex top part of protrusion, which part is turned to head. Nut is screwed upon head to provide compression of branches of clamp. Surface of clamp turned to nut is made convex. Nut is equipped with skirt having contact with nut. Connecting section of clamp is made inside area of curve to have cylinder-shaped broadening. There are circular ridge-shaped protrusions on wall of broadening. Broadening has additional broadenings at ends. Force of compression of tie piece inside clamp is increased which prevents curved tie piece to bar inside clamp.

EFFECT: prevention of slackening of stabilization.
