METHOD FOR REPOSITION OF SPINE IN CASE OF COMMINUTED FRACTURES AND DISLOCATION FRACTURES OF THORACIC AND LUMBAR SECTIONS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B17/70

Abstract RU 2753133 C1

FIELD: medicine, particularly traumatology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology, orthopedics and neurosurgery, and can be used for the reposition of the spine in case of comminuted fractures and dislocation fractures of the thoracic and lumbar sections. After installing the transpedicular screws in the vertebrae adjacent to the injured vertebra, movable couplings are additionally installed on the system rods, placing them at the level of the injured vertebra. Then, a simultaneous longitudinal distraction and angular correction of the spine are performed. Further, marking is made through the holes of the couplings and threads are cut in the injured vertebra under electronic-optical control. After that, the central rods are assembled with reduction screws and the reduction screws are inserted into the injured vertebra along a given navigation trajectory.

EFFECT: method provides an increase in the effectiveness of treatment, correction of angular and axial dislocation of the damaged vertebra and reduction of the risk of secondary dislocations of bone fragments of the vertebral body due to the accuracy of the installation of reduction screws.
