ELECTRO-PHYSICAL METHOD OF CORRECTION OF DISORDERS IN CEREBRAL BLOOD FLOW SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61N1/32 A61B5/02

Abstract RU 2301085 C2

FIELD: medicine; neurology; physiotherapy.

SUBSTANCE: cervicothoracic or/and superior cervical ganglion of sympathetic nervous system is subject to influence of spatially distributed electric current pulse rotating field. For the purpose multi-element electrode, which electrode acts as cathode, is disposed onto patient's body. Single-element electrode, which acts as anode, is disposed at point of projection of ganglions mentioned above. Before any influence, cardio-intervalography is carried out; systolic and diastolic arterial blood pressure is measured; average and diastolic rates of blood flow in central cerebral artery is measured by means of transcranial Doppler's apparatus. Then average arterial pressure is calculated as well as cerebral perfusion pressure and vegetative tonus. If sympathicotonia or moderate sympathicotonia is sharply expressed, biotropic parameters of current pulses of the field, which parameters provide blockage of activity of sympathetic nervous system at which blockage the earlap numbness happens. In case of vegetative balance, moderate or expressed vagotonia during influence the values of amplitude, frequency and duration of pulses are preset, which parameters provide stimulation of activity of sympathetic nervous system at which the earlap numbness doesn't occur. After each medicinal procedure, cerebral perfusion pressure and average arterial pressure is estimated. Medicinal process is carried out until cerebral perfusion pressure and average arterial pressure change to be unidirectional after routine procedure comparing to meanings of parameters measured before treatment, i.e. if they increase or decrease the same time and achieve stable levels.

EFFECT: wider set of aids for correction of regulation system.
