ELECTROPHYSICAL METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF COMPUTER VISION SYNDROME AND ASTHENOPIA Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B5/02 A61N1/00 A61F9/00

Abstract RU 2669044 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and labor protection, and can be used for the treatment of asthenopia and computer vision syndrome. Dermal exposure in the cervical ganglion projection of the sympathetic nervous system is performed by the rotating field of electrical current pulses. Pulse amplitude is set individually for each patient. Before each exposure, the state of the vegetative balance (VB) is determined using the vegetative Kerdo index. During vagotonia, stimulation of the sympathetic part of the autonomic nervous system is provided. In other states of the autonomic nervous system, its activity is blocked. And the chosen mode is maintained for 5 minutes. Within the next 5 minutes after the session, the patient should be in a state of functional rest. 5 procedures are carried out, one procedure daily with the control of blood pressure. If, after the procedure, the patient's blood pressure changes from the initial more than by 15 %, then the procedures are performed every other day.

EFFECT: method allows to effectively and safely treat asthenopia and computer vision syndrome, expands the arsenal of therapeutic agents for treating these conditions by using dermal exposure in the projection of the cervical ganglia of the sympathetic nervous system by the rotating field of electrical current pulses, individual selection of the pulse amplitude, use of the VB value.
