FIELD: underground construction, namely, driving of tunnels with application of jack device for punching a case composed of sections of hollow extensive elements, possible use for driving, primarily, tunnels of small diameter, including tunnels under active transport mains without interruptions to traffic under conditions of weak grounds, and also during construction of tunnels inside existing embankments or below embankments.
SUBSTANCE: method includes punching a ground massif wit a hollow extensive element, extracting core, punching coaxially with previously punched hollow extensive element by at least one following hollow extensive element, extraction of core and connection of element to each other to create a tunnel. Prior to punching the next hollow extensive element, it is inserted into previously punched extensive hollow element. After punching of next extensive hollow element and extraction of core from it, dimensions of its cross-section are increased up to dimensions of cross-section of previously punched hollow extensive element.
EFFECT: increased punching efficiency, decreased forces and consumed power during driving of tunnels.
