FIELD: construction engineering, particularly, methods of tunnel construction. SUBSTANCE: method of tunnel construction is applicable in construction of low-depth tunnels under main traffic arteries without interruption of traffic in it under conditions of mining and geological conditions with presence of water grounds in tunnel base. Method of tunnel construction includes formation of protective screen in ground by driving of long members into ground, injection consolidation of ground in internal space of contemplated tunnel and from outside of tunnel with formation of injection piles tunnel base, subsequent working of consolidated ground in internal space of contemplated tunnel, and tunnel lining. Novelty consists in that solidification and working of ground are carried out by tiers with formation of leading overlaying bench and, at least, one underlying bench located under overlaying one. Protective screen is made over entire perimeter of contemplated tunnel. In this case, as protective screen is erected, at least, one additional long member of closed configuration of cross-section is driven into internal space of contemplated tunnel, in zone adjacent to screen on the side of its internal surface at level of top of underlying tier. As solidified ground of overlaying tier is worked, supporting frames are installed to screen with its lower parts resting on additional long members with subsequent adding of frames as ground of underlying tier is worked. Technical result ensured by claimed invention consists in reduction of terms of construction, power and material consumption, labor input with simultaneous provision of reliability and safety of work performed, involving construction of tunnel under main traffic artery without interruption of traffic in it, under complicated mining and geological conditions with presence of loose watered ground in tunnel base, and also exclusion of development of settlings of tunnel base and day surface exceeding permissible values due to combined consolidation of ground before its working, and screen made from hollow members driven into ground and supported by frames, and also use of tier-by-tier working of ground with optimal sequence of work performance.
