FIELD: antenna engineering; radio communication systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method that can be used in radio systems to suppress noise for antenna array receiving circular-polarization electromagnetic wave in malicious and natural interference environment involves reception of circular-polarization electromagnetic wave by means of antenna array; division of signals arriving from identically positioned dipoles forming four sub-arrays into five signals; processing of one of these signals for each sub-array in adaptive processor unit; organization of four identical channels by means of four remaining signals arriving from each sub-array, each channel incorporating all output signals from each of four sub-arrays; generation of total signal in each channel from signals coming from all sub-arrays with weighting coefficients; calculation of mean output signal in each channel and evaluation of discrepancy between output signals of each sub-array and mean signal in each channel; pairwise division of discrepancies in channels to find weighting coefficients using output signals of orthogonal-dipole sub-arrays; selection of four total signals of channel related to maximal discrepancy; use of four chosen total signals for producing reference signals to determine orientation angle of interference-signal field strength tangential component relative to position of similar component of useful leading signal involving generation of four signals compensating for interference; and addition of phase-equalized signals for generating antenna array output signal.
EFFECT: enhanced noise-to-signal ratio in reception due to suppressing randomly polarized interference.
