FIELD: measuring technique.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises using capacitive pickup secured to the tank and connected with the generator that is connected with the indicator through the frequency meter. The circuit for measuring liquid level comprises processor. The pickup is made of a capacitive pressure gage mounted outside the tank. The device comprises housing that receives the capacitive pickup mounted in the pressure-tight space. The pickup is connected with the generator that is connected with the indicator through the frequency meter. The pickup is made of a capacitive pressure gage. The device is additionally provided with the pipe with through passage for permitting mounting on the bottom of the tank and processor connected to the measurement circuit. The pressure-tight space is separated into two pressure-tight chambers by means of the capacitive pressure gage. The inner space of the capacitive pressure gage is in communication with the atmosphere and can be made of two interconnected spaces. The capacitive pressure gage can be made of three spaces. The intermediate space is filled with liquid whose coefficient of volumetric expansion allows the temperature bend of the diaphragm to be detected.
