FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: in the level gauge, a hydropneumatic unit forms the inner cavity of pneumatic channels which are insulated from the corresponding external medium. Air-tight elastic elements are in form of bellows whose elastic sides can be in form of insert membranes, flexible films, corrugated plates or an elastic hollow sphere. The air-tight elastic elements are joined by a housing which is in form of a cylindrical damping cup, inside of which there is an air-tight elastic element placed at the bottom of the tank with the monitored liquid. The damping cup is collapsible, which enables to put the level gauge in the tank at different heights. The air-tight elastic element placed inside the tank in the liquid can be made in a depression at the bottom of the tank, for example in a drainage nozzle, and the air-tight elastic element placed inside the tank in the region of the vapour-air atmosphere may be made inside the cover of the tank. The hydropneumatic unit of the level gauge can be placed in a measuring tank.
EFFECT: reduced dependency of the level gauge on the surrounding medium and operation conditions without reducing measurement accuracy.
