FIELD: the invention refers to the modes and arrangements of control of metal particularly to definition of mechanical properties of a moving steel band.
SUBSTANCE: the mode of definition of mechanical properties predominantly flat cold-rolled band is in scanning of the part of it with an impulse magnetic device. Simultaneously with the scanning nonflatness control of the metal executed before entering into the action zone of the device with possibility of removal of the last from the band at its nonflatness prevailing the prescribed value. The arrangement for definition of mechanical properties of the band moving at the speed of V m/s has an impulse magnetic device scanning the given section of the band. An additional arrangement has a pair of horizontal rollers installed above and under the band. The device is mounted with possibility of transversal displacement relative to the longitudinal axle of the band and is functionally connected with the mentioned rollers.
EFFECT: increases accuracy of definition of mechanical properties of metal and prolongation of the term of operation of the impulse magnetic device due to exclusion of its trauming by the moving band.
