FIELD: three-phase power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed capacitor unit has a number of three-phase sections, each incorporating three identical delta-interconnected single-phase power capacitors and three-pole three-phase switches for connecting respective sections to three-phase supply mains; single-phase capacitors of sections are interconnected in series at first regulation stage within delta arms under minimal power conditions; in this case vertex of each delta section is connected to respective phase through first-stage switch, other delta vortices of sections being connected in pairs into ring circuit, that is, second vertex of first delta section is connected to third vertex of second delta section, second vertex of second delta section, to third vertex of third data section, second vertex of third delta section, to third vertex of first delta section; nodes of connection of second and third vertices are connected to second-stage switch for connection to third phase relative to phases of respective sections.

EFFECT: simplified design, reduced cost.
