SUBSTANCE: device contains the single-phase power capacitors incorporated in a multi-polar contour and tri-polar switches, furthermore, eighteen identical single-phase capacitors, in threes connected into triangles and four three-phase switches, thus the triangles of the capacitors are joined among themselves so, that two apexes of each of the six triangles are connected each accordingly with the apex of one of the two adjacent triangles, the phase outputs of the obtained multi-polar contour are connected to a three-phase network through four tri-polar switches so, that the similar phase outputs are located on the apexes of rhombuses forming the multi-polar contour, which ensures a different sequence including the switches, based on the required relationship of the steps of the reactive power.

EFFECT: increase in the possible relationships of the power of the steps of regulation; the principle of expansion of the range of regulation; simplification in the design and increase in the reliability.
