FIELD: three-phase power engineering; reactive power correction.
SUBSTANCE: proposed filtering-correcting condenser unit incorporating provision for protecting condensers against impact of higher-harmonic currents, reducing number of higher harmonics in supply mains, limiting inrush currents during its switching, as well as using modular principle of increasing quantity of filtering-correcting condenser sections and regulating temperature conditions which is essential when operating at subzero temperatures has three-phase filtering-correcting condenser sections and switching equipment; it is characterized in that it has phase-sensing device, single-phase toroidal chokes, and reactive-power corrector; sections are rated at different power capacities and are resonance-tuned to frequencies of harmonics being filtered-off; each section has nine delta-connected equal-capacity single-phase condensers integrated so that two vortices of each of thee deltas are connected to respective vortex of one of two remaining deltas; each side of delta obtained has three terminals and two condensers; terminals at delta vortices are connected to supply mains through three-pole switching apparatus; phase-sensing device is connected in series with single-phase toroidal chokes actuated by reactive-power corrector.
EFFECT: enhanced quality of electrical energy in supply mains.
