SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of production of the sheet glass on the metal melt. The technical problem of the present invention is improvement of the quality of the glass strip surface due to minimization of the probability of the glass strip bottom surface contact with the melt bosh outlet threshold. The offered method allows to reduce the probability of the glass strip sagging at its coming out from the melt bosh due to the glass strip smooth lifting and the following smooth lowering till its constant horizontal level. The lifting of the arbors of the cinder chamber is exercised up to the height of 15-30 mm with respect to the outlet threshold of the melt bosh and lowering - by the value of 30-15 mm concerning the arbors of the cinder chamber.

EFFECT: the invention ensures the improved quality of the glass strip surface, minimization of the probability of the glass strip bottom surface contact with the melt bosh outlet threshold.
