FIELD: production of sheet glass on the surface of metal melt. SUBSTANCE: both surfaces of sheet polished glass are consequently treated by vapor and gaseous mixture of monosilane with argon or nitrogen. The process takes place during transportation of glass band from melt bath to calcination furnace. When said glass band is fed into the furnace its surface is treated with vapor till temperature of said band is 100-150 C. EFFECT: improved efficiency. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
