FIELD: production of float-glass; production of glass of high strength property.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in intensification of oxidation of sulfur dioxide (SO2) into sulfur trioxide (SO3) during treatment of lower surface of glass in the course of production. Intensification of oxidation is achieved through additional ionization of air fed in mixture with sulfur dioxide. Level of ionization is equal to (103-108) l/cm3.
EFFECT: improved quality of lower surface of glass.
