FIELD: radio engineering, possible use in passive radio control systems for finding, by means of detection and localization on basis of frequency, time, azimuth, elevation angle and distance, of complex signals of decametric transmitters.
SUBSTANCE: increased searching efficiency is achieved on basis of additional information, extracted from ionosphere channel model being corrected and ensuring increased searching efficiency due to creation of required and sufficient reduced sets of energetically accessible searching frequencies for efficient searching in given spatial areas, and for each energetically accessible frequency for determining the type (surface or ionosphere) of expanding wave and reduced set of required searching elevation bearings.
EFFECT: increased efficiency when searching for broad range of decametric transmitters, using complex signals with a priori unknown structure and parameters, several spatially distanced receiving stations (position finders and range finders).
