FIELD: fish industry, in particular, artificial reefs used in multiplication of hydrobionts, as well as in building of hydrotechnical constructions.
SUBSTANCE: artificial reef is formed as multilayer pyramidal construction made from supporting ferroconcrete plates on which ferroconcrete blocks are mounted, said blocks being formed as rectangular parallelepipeds defining carcasses. Plates are equipped with rods provided in their lower base and adapted for adhesion with basin bottom. Bases of supporting plates and blocks are made equal in sizes, with their width being equal to 1/2 of their length. Blocks are positioned in parallel and close with respect to one another, each being fixed at site of intersection of four plates or four plates of lower layer, and are attached thereto by means of grooves provided in upper bases of plates and blocks and adapted for receiving of wedges which are provided in lower bases of blocks. Wedges are inserted simultaneously into grooves of two adjacent blocks or plates of lower layer. Vertical size of wedges is 2-4 times as great as depth of grooves for creating cavities between said layers, and 20-45% of blocks are equipped with continuous horizontal and/or vertical wall/walls. During assembling of reef, these blocks are arranged so as to define additional refuge for certain kinds of hydrobionts.
