SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering and is intended to improve the ecological state of fishery reservoirs – water supply sources with fish protection structures placed in them. Method of improving the ecological state of a fishery reservoir – a water supply source with a fish protection structure located in it consists in diversion of hydrobionts protected by fish protection structure 3 along fish outlet 4, to a safe place of a fishery reservoir – water supply source 1, wherein the safe place includes fish-passage path 5, which is equipped with elements of increasing heterogeneity of the underwater landscape in the form of a set of ordered-extended rows of reef modules developed into the water column and laid into a fishery reservoir – water supply source 1. Fish-passage path 5 on the side remote from water intake 2 is equipped with an orderly extended ridge of shelters 6, which are used to adapt and prevent repeated return to water intake 2 of viable hydrobionts entering the fishery reservoir – water supply source 1, and from the side close to water intake 2, an additional ordered-extended ridge of hunting ambush seats 7 is arranged, which viable hydrobionts use for habitation and productive feeding on non-viable ichthyofauna and plankton, which from water intake 2 along fish outlet 4 of fish protection structure 3, using fish-diverting current, are also sent to fish-passage path 5, and which viable hydrobionts are processed to a state that does not represent a threat to the ecological state of the environment.

EFFECT: improving the ecological state of the fishery reservoir – a water supply source with a fish protection structure placed in it.
