FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves making incision in skin, soft tissues and periosteum in frontal region along eyebrow. Periosteum is separated. Crack is found and trephine opening is created through it. Thin elevator is introduced through the trephine opening and fractured bone fragments are reduced. Anterior frontal sinus wall bone splitters periosteum is fixed with non-wick suture material threads on external perforated metal plate curved on ellipse matching coronal bone curvature. Soft tissues and skin are sutured layer-by-layer at the incision place. The plate is attached to haired head part with sutures. Circular frontlet bandage is applied.
EFFECT: reduced risk of edema and traumatic complications; reliable fractured bone fragments fixation.
