FIELD: medicine; maxillofacial surgery.
SUBSTANCE: marking is applied along the natural crease of the upper eyelid. After skin incision, a palpebral portion of a circular muscle of the eye is dissected under an upper edge of an orbit from a medial edge towards a lateral edge. Then an orbital septum is dissected. Medial portion of the deep supraorbital fat is visualized. Eyebrow wrinkling muscle is vertically incised and mobilized together with the procerus muscle upwards. Then the fracture line is visualized, and the bone fragments are repositioned by means of Billroth forceps through the upper nasal passage. Wound edges are separated. After glabella osteosynthesis and haemostasis, a circular muscle of the eye and an orbital septum are closed with interrupted sutures. Skin is closed with an intradermal suture.
EFFECT: method enables creating an incision in the area of the natural fold of the upper eyelid, which in the remote postoperative period solves the problem of aesthetics and functional state of integumentary tissues of the face and facial muscles.
