FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy; methods of purification of the aluminate solutions from the impurities.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of the nonferrous metallurgy, in particular, to the methods of purification of the aluminate solutions from the impurities at production of the alumina from the aluminum-containing raw material including bauxites. The method of purification of the aluminate solutions from the impurities provides for includes addition into the aluminate solution of the sorbent based on the magnesium compounds interacting with the solution, separation of the sorbent from the purified solution, its regeneration by the thermal treatment and reutilization. The sorbent on the basis of the magnesium compounds is produced by the treatment of the aluminate solution with the magnesium hydroxide and the thermal treatment of the produced solid phase at the temperature of 230-400°С. It is added in the form of the water pulp with the concentration of 100-150 g/dm3 in terms of MgO, and the regeneration of the sorbent conduct at the temperature of 250-380°С. The invention allows to increase the purification efficiency and to reduce the power inputs for realization of the method.

EFFECT: the invention ensures the increased purification efficiency and the reduced power inputs for realization of the method.
