FIELD: textile industry.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for controlled feeding of thread to textile machine, wherein said thread is periodically acted upon, has means for determining tension and means for adjusting thread feeding speed, said means being connected to controlling and regulating devices for determining said tension and speed parameters, by means of which values both parameters are constantly measured during feeding of thread to textile machine so as to act upon rotating member in order to regulate thread tension, when necessary. Method involves imparting movement to rotating member in controlled manner in two opposite directions of rotation for feeding thread to textile machine or for repeated winding of thread on rotating member to prevent thread from accumulation thereon; maintaining tension of thread fed or repeatedly wound at constant value.
EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing constant thread tension.
