FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to winding. System of metal wire supply comprises wire feed device. Wire is supplied with required tension detected by tension sensor. Feeder has at least one rotary element. Rotary element is actuated by its drive. Metal wire is wound onto rotating element on part of revolution or several revolutions. Feeder is made with possibility to feed wire to machine with preset tension under effect of control unit. System includes means of detecting of at least one wire physical characteristic. Detection means are located after feeding device and connected with control unit so, that to provide data relating to each detected physical characteristic. Control unit acts on rotary element to adjust wire tension and maintain near reference value of controlled wire characteristic.

EFFECT: invention discloses system and method for supply of metal wires with constant tension.
