SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of elongated materials and can be used in feeding wire. Feeding device of metal wire includes a body, a rotary element with a drive, a tension sensor and control means. Control means is made in form of an electronic unit. Electronic unit is connected to tension sensor. Electronic unit continuously measures value of tension and makes it constant through a first loop and a second loop. First loop operates with driving motors. Second loop operates with a compensating element.
EFFECT: providing constant tension at specified value depending on amount of wire or its delivery rate.
