FIELD: mechanical engineering; automobile engines.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, at partial load of engine its crankshaft is connected with load through gear train with non-round wheels. This train is made and mounted so that at its engagement sped of crankshaft is reduced and cranks of operating cylinders have angular velocity in TDC higher than in BDC. Thanks to it thermal energy losses for heating of cylinders are reduced and efficiency of engine and effectiveness of exhaust gas converter are increased.
EFFECT: reduced fuel consumption and discharge of toxic gases at partial loads on engine owing to reduction of thermal energy losses for heating of engine cylinders.
