FIELD: medicine, surgery.
SUBSTANCE: one should evaluate the state of aponeurosis of external oblique muscle of abdomen, measure the diameter of surface and deep inguinal ring. At he size of deep and surface inguinal ring being equal or above 10 mm, at fibrillated thin aponeurosis being either equal or under 0.8 mm it has been recommended to carry out hernioplasty due to open technique at plasty of anterior wall of inguinal canal. In case of normal constitution and thickness of aponeurosis being above 0.8 mm and the sizes of deep and surface inguinal rings being under 10 mm it is necessary to recommend laparoscopic hernioplasty. The innovation enables to objectivate the indications to the methods of therapy of inguinal hernias in children.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency of detection.
