BABY'S BED WITH TRANSFORMABLE LATERAL SIDE Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A41D7/00 

FIELD: baby's furniture, in particular, baby's bed equipped with transformable lateral side allowing said bed to be converted into teen-agers' bed.

SUBSTANCE: baby's bed consists of two immovable backs connected to lateral sides, shield for bed base, and mattress. For raising and lowering of lateral side, upper and lower guides 4, 5 consisting of two parts are attached to outer splined bars 3 of immovable backs. Binding screw and runner with lever are attached to outer vertical bars of transformable lateral side, said screw and runner being arranged at a distance of 30-40 cm from one another. Lower part of guide 5 has main central slot 10 transforming through evenly curved portion into right-hand lateral slot 11 and left-hand slot 12, receptacles 13, 14, 15, and opening 16 for attachment of lateral side to immovable back. Upper part of guide 4 has one splined slot 17 along which slot binding screw is movable. Binding screw and runner with lever are adapted for movement along slots 10, 11, 12, 17 and receptacles 13, 14, 15.

EFFECT: convenient operation due to raising and lowering of lateral side and reliable fixing, simplified construction of fixing guide, and reduced production costs.
