FIELD: oil and gas production.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises withdrawing oil through producing wells, injecting working substance through injecting well, sampling oil from different points of formation after specified time intervals, determining optical properties of the samples at different wavelengths, and preparing recommendations concerning oil pool development. According to invention, when affecting oil pool with flooding, one determines involvement of low-permeability zones with predominantly non-worked up reserves into development. To that end, optical density, light transmission and light absorption coefficients, refractive index, and dispersion are determined as optical properties. Oil is sampled from all producing wells located in low-permeability and high-permeability zones. When working substance is injected into injecting wells, an effect is expected in reacting wells wherefrom oil is also begins to be sampled. Oil sampling from producing wells is repeated to measure the same optical properties of the oil and, when traces of the working substance are revealed, a conclusion is drawn about involvement of low-permeability zones into development.
EFFECT: increased accuracy in estimation of the oil pool condition.
