FIELD: oil and gas production.

SUBSTANCE: invention is directed to running wells having exposed two or more productive formations. Method comprises sampling oil from each productive object, sampling from jointly run objects, determining optical properties of samples in visible spectrum region at different wavelengths, statistically processing data, and determining relative oil debits. According to invention, when running well having exposed multistratum with oils having comparable properties and after having taken samples from each productive object, simulated recombinated samples of oils from different formations in different proportions are formed. Optical properties (optical absorption coefficient, refraction index, and oil dispersion factor) of recombinated samples are examined and compared with those of natural oil blends. Closeness of optical properties of recombinated samples and natural oil blends found and from oil ratios therein a conclusion about operation of productive formations is drawn. Based on this conclusion, operation of the well is improved by way of leveling debits of productive formations.

EFFECT: increased reliability of determination of the presence of an oil specimen in oil blends and thereby enabled calculation of debits from productive formations exposed by the productive well.
