FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed no-break power supply designed for loads of power system built around unstable reusable energy sources (wind-electric, hydroelectric, photoelectric, and similar power plants) has unstable energy source with AC generator connected to user commercial-frequency supply mains through switch controlled by threshold device; diesel engine provided with automatic OFF-operation device connected at its input to battery charge controller output and through overrunning clutch, to synchronous machine; the latter is connected to user supply mains; synchronous machine shaft also carries permanent-magnet excited DC motor whose armature is connected to four-quadrant pulse-width converter; output of the latter is connected to storage battery and its input, to output of phase-sensing rectifier one of whose inputs is connected to output of commercial-frequency master oscillator and other input, to output of user supply mains frequency sensor.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of power supply, reduced number of power converters at high energy use factor.
