SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel synthetic 2-(α-hydroxypentyl)benzoates of the general formula (I): 
wherein M means a monovalent metal ion, bivalent metal ion or a basic organic group chosen from a aniline group, benzylamino-group, morpholinyl group or diethylamino-group and wherein n = 1 or 2. Also, invention relates to methods for synthesis of these compounds and pharmaceutical compositions containing these salts as active components. Also, invention relates to using abovementioned compounds in prophylaxis and treatment of heart ischemia, brain ischemia, occlusion of heart and brain arteries.
EFFECT: valuable medicinal properties of compounds and pharmaceutical compositions.
