FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: before starting conservative treatment, size of tumor and total volume of tumor's vessels is measured. Vascularization factor of tumor is calculated as relation of total volume of tumor's vessels to size of tumor. Vascularization coefficient of tumor after treatment is calculated on base of same principles. Relation of vascularization coefficients of tumor after and before treatment, namely vascularization coefficient dynamics, is used to estimate efficiency of conservative anti-tumor therapy. Relation being equal to 1 and smaller testifies on efficiency of treatment conducted, relation of 1 and higher testifies on progress in tumor growing.
EFFECT: improved objectiveness of estimation of results; availability of additional criterion for choosing policy of further treatment; possibility of differentiation of residual tumors.
