FIELD: technical means, making spatial orientation possible for blind people.
SUBSTANCE: device for spatial orientation of blind people contains at least one non-contact rangefinder in form of laser or ultrasound locator, connected through a control block to indicator device, made in form of device for tactile reading, which comprises a matrix with pins, made with possible movement, upper surface of which matrix is divided by a coordinates grid perceivable by touch, made in scale of the locality, a relief point is made in front of the coordinates grid for determining position of a person on locality, and control block is made programmable.
EFFECT: improved spatial orientation for people with limited physical sight capabilities due to creation of tactile plan of positions of obstacles, located in front of the device.
