FIELD: radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed scanning antenna array has radiating structure in the form of two-dimensional array of perforated metal disk and flat wavefront source in the form of metal-based insulator layer, as well as insulator layer exciter in the form of open end of flat waveguide with horn-like extension of top end. Radiating structure is disposed in a space relation to insulator layer wall linearly reducing from to from insulator layer exciter toward other end of insulator layer, where m = 0, 1, 2, ...; d is insulator layer thickness; ε is dielectric constant of insulator layer. Radiating structure is mounted to turn about its axis perpendicular to its plane, directivity pattern deviation angle φ being interrelated with radiation structure turn angle α by equation φ = arcsin(λ)/l)sinα), where l is array period from exciter to end of insulator layer at α - 0°; λ is wavelength.
EFFECT: enhanced bandwidth of antenna array scanning in wide spectrum, reduced mass and cost of array.
