FIELD: electron-ionic manufacturing processes, namely treating surfaces, mainly of large-size and large-volume articles of polymeric materials in order to enhance their surface adhesion to dyeing, cementing and similar matters without significant change of physical-mechanical properties of material.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes at least one pair of rod electrodes designed for realizing corona discharge. On lateral surface of each rod-electrode there is lengthwise face. Electrodes are mounted in one housing with gap turned to interval between said lengthwise faces turned one to other. Gap is open towards treated surface and gas is fed through said gap in direction to treated surface. Possibility for realizing corona discharge between planes of lengthwise faces is realized due to coating lateral surface of each rod electrode with layer of dielectric characterized by occurring of large number of uniformly distributed on its surface corona discharges when high voltage is applied to electrodes. Apparatus allows significantly enlarge treatment zone.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of apparatus.
