FIELD: otolaryngology.
SUBSTANCE: laser emission is used to affect surface layer of mucous membrane of inferior nasal turbinates from their posterior end to anterior end in the form of 20-30 coagulation points per one nasal turbinate. Coagulation is accomplished in contact mode by distal end of light guide of high-power (5 W) semiconductor laser with wavelength 0.83 μm, operated in pulse mode with pulse duration 750 ms. Procedure is performed one time.
EFFECT: achieved complete restoration of respiratory function of nasal cavity and transport function of ciliated epithelium.
