FIELD: rescue equipment, particularly devices adapted to save people from high buildings in the case of fire.
SUBSTANCE: system has improved catching device. System comprises cable connected to building by the first end and to land-based catching device by the second end thereof and people descending means sliding along cable. The catching device is made as wagon provided with pillow row extending in horizontal direction so that the pillows are spaced apart. The pillows are made as triangles put in cases and provided with metal rings connected to pillow corners. Steel cable or cord having high tensile strength is connected to pillow edges. Pillow cases are formed of strong water-impervious elastic material. System has cord, which lifts pillows by means of roller and additional telescopic mast, wherein pillow rings slide along cable, and two side telescopic bars connected with each other by cross-arm in bar tops. Wagon sides and roof are composed of two halves and may be hinged out to create side working plates from both wagon sides. Rescue gang may stand on the side working plates. Rear side of wagon is also collapsible and made of two halves to create ramp extending between wagon and landing mat. System also includes wheeled platform arranged on building roof and adapted to support mast with roller connected to mast top, drum with cable and plate with support wall to receive fireman and person to be evacuated from burning building.
EFFECT: increased simplicity of people evacuation from burning building roof.
