FIELD: life-saving equipment used in emergency situations and adapted for receiving of people at different angles and for receiving of other subsequent people in small time intervals.

SUBSTANCE: life-saving apparatus has cable attached with its one end to high-rise building and with its other end to catcher on ground, lowering device for lowering of people on cable, and cable tightening winch. Catcher is made in the form of set of triangular cushions with rings attached to their ends, said rings being fastened to one another on each side by means of flexible binders to form garlands. Garland of rings provided on one corner of cushion is positioned for free movement along cable, and on two other corners of cushion - for free movement on rods fixed to three-faced prism. Said cushions are adapted for simultaneous displacement along prism by means of cord.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in cushioning of impacts during landing and simplified construction of apparatus.
