FIELD: construction, particularly reinforcing elements and auxiliary elements therefore, namely releasable clamping wedge means to joint reinforcement bars having periodic profiles and used for erection of ultrahigh-strong strategic building structures.

SUBSTANCE: wedge-lock coupling comprises body shaped as two plates and two wedges. Each plate has symmetrically arranged trapezoid orifices converging from center thereof. The wedges cooperate with inclined surfaces of trapezoid orifices. Each wedge is made as symmetric part with clamping surfaces formed in part center and inclined so that 90° angle is defined in-between. The clamping surfaces are provided with notches. Two wedge surfaces are made from opposite wedge side along clamping ones. Each wedge surface is defined by beads from outer sides thereof and cooperates with inclined surface of trapezoid orifice of the first and the second plate correspondingly. Oval orifices for wedge fixer receiving are arranged in center of each plate so that the orifices are axially aligned with each other. Slope of wedge surfaces of the wedge and that of inclined surfaces of trapezoid orifices is 20°. The slope is calculated from condition that the joint must have uniform strength and longitudinal wedge displacement is to be minimal.

EFFECT: increased reliability of reinforcement bar connection in the case of ultimate static tension exceeding yield strength and increased assemblage convenience.
