SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for layer burning and thermal treatment of solid fuel. Proposed rotary fire grate has hollow housing made in form of spider in cross section, with holes for discharge of gaseous medium arranged on side surface in tops of spider arms, shaft for rotating fire grate and branch pipe to supply gaseous medium. Top of each arm is essentially longitudinal tip installed for overlapping holes to discharge gaseous medium. At roots of each pair of arms on their side surfaces additional holes are made whose axes are tilted to side of root of arms arranged close to each other.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of combustion of solid fuel in layer owing to increased efficiency and completeness of burning provided by rational distribution of air over entire volume of combusted fuel layer.
