FIELD: independent finding of linear speed of automobiles, aircraft and other movable objectives.

SUBSTANCE: the device has a measuring conductor positioned in the horizontal direction perpendicular to the direction of the objective motion for action by the earth's magnetic field on this conductor, and an on-board computer made for determination of the objective motion speed depending an the difference of the electric potential between the various points of the measuring conductor, in addition, use is made of a reverse conductor positioned in a magnetic screen, connected in series and positioned in parallel with the measuring conductor. The unidirectional leads of the measuring and reverse conductors directly or via an additional potential meter are connected to the on board computer. The device may also have a magnetic field sensor measuring the vertical component of induction of the earth's magnetic field, and/or an inclinometers, and/or an accelerometer.

EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of the objective speed measurement and reduced overall dimension of the device.
