FIELD: nuclear steam-generating plants mainly using solid metal as primary coolant.
SUBSTANCE: reactor vessel internal heat insulation is made of stainless steel plates. Stainless-steel net is placed between both thin-sheet plates. Stainless-steel plates are welded over entire perimeter to form air-filled pressurized structure.
EFFECT: reduced temperature and voltage fluctuations in reactor parts and assemblies.
